Oh Hey Pre-K!

Hello sweet families! I am beyond excited to be your child’s Pre-K teacher this year! I’ve always believed that the early school years are pure magic—a time when curiosity blooms, creativity soars, and every day brings a new “Aha!” moment. My mission is to create a classroom that feels like a second home—safe, loving, joyful, and full of laughter—where every child feels special, valued, and ready to explore the world.

I’m blessed with a big, wonderful family—17 of us in total! That includes my amazing and supportive husband, our 4 grown children, their spouses and 8 adorable grandkids who keep life exciting (and keep me on my toes!). When we can all be together, it’s my favorite place to be!

I’ve been working with young children for over 26 years, with the past 20 years right here at RCES teaching Pre-K. I have taught Pre-K - Third Grade and my passion is with Pre-K. I love helping little learners discover the joy of learning through play, hands-on adventures, and those everyday moments that spark wonder. In our classroom, we’ll practice kindness, build confidence, become problem-solvers, and fall in love with stories, numbers, and big ideas.

When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll probably find me enjoying the Hill Country, traveling anywhere the road (or plane) will take us, relaxing at the lake, reading a great book, catching a movie, or making memories with my grandkids.

I truly believe learning is a team effort and with Mr. James' as my fun and enthusiastic teacher assistant this year we can’t wait to partner with YOU to make this an unforgettable year for your child. Get ready—"OH Hey Pre-K" is going to be full of giggles, growth, and so many amazing moments!
